Hi Y'all,   This is Bob from Minneapolis, a north suburb of Dallas.   My daughter's computer doesn't let me write separate paragraphs, so make your own separations. My primary purpose is to tell you all that I thought the Kairos at the Hughes Unit was very well done, and I am very pleased I was permitted to be a part of it.

I do believe that we touched the hearts of many of the candidates.   I know my counseling sessions were at a greater depth than I remember from earlier Kairos work.

Please receive my thanks, and please also pray for me as I go to a Federal Penitentiary in Minnesota this afternoon to work a Minnesota CHARIS.   (Their spelling of Kairos) This program does the same work, but does have a few refinements I like very much. One is to have women speakers in the men's prisons.   Another is to have a special time an place and team for prayer for the speakers.

This group also prays for those listed on prayer requests.   It is composed of men and women from the outside world and several men who are graduates of the CHARIS.    I have seen it work, and like it.

 Nuff said.

God bless you all!

I praise God I was able to serve on the outside team, it was such a blessing
to be able to serve, and to get to know others in the Kairos Community. The
closing was the best I've ever seen, my heart was truly moved and touched and
changed. Praise God!

I wanted to share something that happened to me while we were praying around
the circle for each other. My back was in terrible knots for 6 days because
of some intense pain I had experienced. I was not able to work out the knots
before attending Kairos, so off I went. When we prayed around the circle a
man came up behind me and asked me if my back hurt. I said yes, he laid his
hands on my shoulder blades and prayed a thanksgiving and an affirmation over
me and moved on, and the pain was gone from that moment on! I praise God,
how he used that man (I did not look to see who it was!) to heal me, without
even voicing the request of a pain free back!!!
God is good!

I truly found the prayer time in the Chapel precious, and how the team worked
together as the body of Christ was priceless.

I thank God for the opportunity to serve.

Love in Christ,
Jan T.
