June 17, 2002
Dear
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I
have been asked to serve as Rector for Hughes Kairos #11. The date for the
Hughes 11 Weekend is
October 3-6, 2002
. The purpose of this
letter is to provide you information on important dates leading up to and
including the weekend, to ask you to be in prayer for Hughes 11, and to ask
you to prayerfully consider serving as a team member.
This invitation is going to past team members and to prospective new
team members who have expressed an interest in serving. If you are a past team
member, I only ask that you review the enclosed information sheet, make any
needed corrections, and bring it to the first team meeting, or provide
corrections to me by email. If you are a new team member, please complete the
enclosed complete application, have it signed by your pastor, and mail it to
me or bring it to the first team meeting. Enclosed is an extra application if
you know someone who may be interested in serving who is qualified to serve on
a Kairos team. Please get in touch with me if you have questions regarding
qualifications for serving as a Kairos team member.
If you are unable to serve on Hughes 11, there are other opportunities
to support this wonderful ministry. Again, please keep Hughes 11 in your
prayers, whether you are able to serve on the team or not. I also ask for your
support in the form of Agape, e.g. cookies, letters, posters, banners, and
money. Kairos veterans will be pleased to know that it appears we will be able
to have church members and other volunteers bake and donate cookies, as long
as they follow Kairos guidelines.
